The Brief
Diageo approached Altadicta to transform its Global Data Privacy Policy into an accessible, engaging, and user-friendly resource for employees across all markets.
As a global business operating in over 180 countries, Diageo needed a policy that not only met strict legal and regulatory standards but also resonated with a diverse workforce — from office-based teams to production and sales staff. The challenge was to take a traditionally dense and technical document and turn it into something people would actually read, understand, and remember.
The policy needed to reinforce Diageo’s commitment to protecting data, maintaining transparency, and embedding responsible digital behaviour across the organisation — all while remaining clear, compliant, and aligned with its brand tone of voice.
Our Approach
Working closely with Diageo’s Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Affairs teams, we developed a structured narrative framework that broke the policy into intuitive, bite-sized sections — supported by bold headlines, visual cues, and interactive elements that encouraged exploration rather than passive reading.
Visually, we introduced a clean, digital-first design system aligned with Diageo’s brand identity — using iconography, colour coding, and infographics to bring clarity and hierarchy to the content.
To enhance accessibility and engagement, we created an interactive digital format alongside a printable PDF version, allowing employees to navigate easily by topic or region.
The result was a clear, consistent, and visually engaging policy that not only met Diageo’s global compliance standards but also strengthened understanding and accountability across its workforce — turning an essential governance document into a living, useful communication tool.
